Default Stripped wheel stud

One of the wheel studs on a rear wheel is stripped out and just spinning when I try to remove. Any tricks to remove and replace?

Cut it off with a dremel. Kinda have to make multiple cuts at angles until you get enough of the lug nut cut off that you can knock the rest off with a chisel.
Once the wheel is off knock the rest of the stud out with a hammer and punch.
New studs are easy to find online.

To install the new stud push it through the hole and pop a thick 1/2" washer over it then turn the lug nut around so the flat face is toward the washer. Spray the lug nut and the threads with some wd40 and tighten it up to pull the stud into place.

If you can keep the stud and nut from turning, [small vise grips maybe], you can just drill the stud until the nut falls off. Since the studs are 1/2', drill about a 1/8 pilot hole first, then drill 1/2. Use plenty of lube.

Problem is these are aftermarket rims and nuts. Gonna have to try the dremel method and hope I don't hit the rim

Another method I've tried in the past is to put a cross lug wrench on th nut and pry up and down and side to side until the stud breaks, but that can damage the wheel and doesn't work if it's down in a hole in the wheel. Drilling lug studs isn't fun but sometimes that's your only option due to lack of clearance to get any other tool in there.

Pull the axle and either use a vice grip on the head of the stud, or cut the head off with a torch.
That way you know you're not going to damage the wheels.

Use a dremi to cut the top off the lug nut. Put a wrench on the nut to keep it from turning while you drill. A socket will also work to hold the nut. I have a set of hex head sockets that work great for that.

We need to see a picture of the wheel. I'm betting the lug nuts are in holes.
