Thanks a ton for all that detail UncleJerm76. I found a 48v-12v reducer on amazon pretty cheap so I'm going to try that this weekend.

beware of "cheap" reducers....you get what you pay for with those.

Yep, lots of posts in this forums of guys who had some pretty nasty melts and frys with the cheap reducers
