Default lithium battery questions

I'm getting ready to by from evbatterys. Plan to make new wires, do I need 2 Cables w/Anderson connectors. Or could I just wire to the pack and use a battery disconnect switch? Opinions and/or Thoughts

Let me know how it goes. I'm not far off from a Lithium conversion myself and am really following a lot of those conversions closely.

I wired right to the pack (Leaf cells). I used the Anderson connector for the charger leads that came with it. I did not use a disconnect but I do have a fuse on the main pack that came with the Alltrax controller. I disconnect the pack there when I need to work on it.

Here is my method of assembling and installing those packs. I have installed eight of these packs in carts at my club for other members. These pics are from a 2011 Yamaha drive. First pic is top view of compartment and pack install with on board charger and DC-DC converter. Second pic is the power side of the pack. I am using the 175A anderson connector. It allows quick and easy disconnect of the pack when necessary. I have the Alltrax ANL fuse mounted on the back panel behind the pack in a separate fuse holder. There is also a Blue Seas 6 circuit panel for accessories. There is also a terminal strip to connect the DC-DC converter and charger to the pack. The third pic is an install in a TXT. Same stYle configuration. Final is a pdf of my wiring of this pack. All of these packs came from Nick at Hybrid Auto Center in Las Vegas. You can PM me if there is anything I can help with.

Can you shed some light on which pack this is? I was just looking through their site and saw this- very reasonable. From what I've read, I need 50 aH to get close to the range I would normally get with 8-6V Trojan T-105's, plus better acceleration, lighter, and faster charging. Looks like based on this price that it can be done for about the same cost too. http://hybridautocenter.com/HAC4/ind...3ah&Itemid=605

The 100amp continuous draw rating means the c rating of those batteries is not very high. I can draw over that from one of my little 1800mah Rc plane battery packs. At 14.8v..

However not sure just how much our motors pull but the end rush current from flooring it is really think would be much more than the 250 amp rating these can put out short order.

Furyous: The packs in my pictures are the one in the EV Battery Center link below. You would need the charger, BMS and power connector in the order. This is a DIY pack. I make all my brackets and side plates.

Banditz if i'm understanding you correctly the 175amp connectors are fine because the battery will only let 250amp out for a short bit? or would the battery pack let 500amp out with direct 2awg wiring?
