Motor Change

I changed my motor on my 95cc to a D&D. I'm very happy with the torque and top speed of 21mph. The cart has no other upgrades. Am I damaging anything or can I leave the cart this way ?

I would just keep an eye on everything for the first few outings,
Keep a check on Heat for cables, controller, and motor.

No extra heat then leave it .

If it starts heating upgrade all #6 to #4 .

Thanks for the reply. The wires get a little warm some are #6 some are #4 so I think I'll upgrade.

Upgrade cables to 4G and you will likely find an increase in speed as well as run time. The cooler you can keep things, the better everything will work. Besides that, if you decide to increase the controller, you will be ready, don't forget the solenoid, often overlooked.

QTR how are you running 84 Volts (battery config) ?

It really is a pretty simple set up and so far has been very reliable. 8 - 12 volt deep cell. I first did the set up with 6- 12v's and installed a onboard 72 volt charger. Got board with that and added 2 more 12v's. Now I have to charge those seperate, little bit of a hassle, but no big deal. It's pretty fun to drive. Its studded for ICE right now. I am in michigan so we need to be flexible with how we use our carts!!! Thanks for asking.

What controller, contactor, and motor are you running in that?

Raptor motor - Alltrax controller and a homemade set up of 3 solenoids that I used for F&R. I switched the solenoids at 36V so that when I mess around with votage it does not mess with my controll side. At 72V I was hitting 50+ I am no running 84V but it's only 12 degrees here so I have not GPS it at the new voltage. I suspect I am up over 55+. I have not changed gearing yet, that might me next....
