Yep butterface is correct, I just assumed you were talking down hill, since all carts
slow way down going up hill (without some modifications).
What type is the cart DS or IQ (Its in the serial/model #).
See sticky note on how to tell your cart.

DS is the model of the cart. A DS can be series or regen.

Hi hbuck,

I have a similar cart and similar issues. A couple of details have come to light.

1. The controller settings have a big factor in your speed, uphill & down hill. I changed mine to #3 and now can make it uphill.

2. I am upgrading my motor to an after market motor from Plum Quick. This motor (as I understand it) makes the settings invisible to the controller, thus your cart motor can give full power available. Now, I may need to get a more powerful controller, but Plum Quick doesnít think so. You can read what Iím doing here: Module settings

I hope this helps.

I have a Precedent with new batteries and if I go down hill with the peddle to the metal then when it goes up the other side it will slow a bunch. If I take my foot out of it as I am going up the other side and then hit it I will actually pick up speed. If I stop at the botton and then start up the hill I will gain speed and go faster than if I just keep my foot in it!!!
