quick question
i have a 91 36v club car with a few questions. I just got it taken apart and the old owner said all it needed was new batteries. Before I go and buy 36v batteries I wanted to make sure the rest of the cart works because if not I might just do the 48v conversion. So the question is how can you test the cart when the batteries are out, is it possible to hook a car jumper box up to the motor for a second just to see if it does anything or will this mess something up? Also I know its a 36v cart but is the motor 6v or 36v? Might be dumb questions I just dont wanna cost myself anymore money than I have to. Thanks guys.

Re: quick question
well the motor is rated for 36v(but alot of them can handle more).. the batteries are 6 6 volt batteries...yes u can test the motor with 12v, just make sure u hook it up correctly first.. and if u have to buy new batteries, than yea alot of people will tell u to just do the 48v conversion now..

on a side note.. this is a personal request.. being that i myself am a huge mustang enthusiest, and have owned a yellow mustang, could u please send me somepics of your car.. from the avatar it looks beautiful...

Re: quick question
thanks for the info and about my car. I will send you some pics as soon as Im done here. I also have some other questions and pics to go with them.

What is this little box? Its on the drivers side seat frame I think and it has two wires coming from it that are just cut and hanging there

In this picture you can see that the bottom of the shocks are not bolted to anything and from what I can tell where they are supposed to go it looks like the rear is pushed forward a couple inches to far to where it doesnt even line up. Also I see blocks on top of the rear???? If this was some type of lift kit shouldnt the blocks be under the rear or is this something that came on the cart that I just dont understand?

And heres some of the car...

It has air ride a bunch of other goodies. Im a big mustang finatic too thats why I wanted this cart because Im getting the 65 body for it and painting it to match mine.

Re: quick question
that rear end is screwy.. but by the looks of how the rearend is mounted on the leafs(the perches dont look to have been cut) its normal.. just not how the lift/lowering blocks are in the wrong spot..lmao.. im no club car expert but since the axle is where it is and looks to be stock, id say the shocks prolly mount on an angle, possibly... and is that lil black round box thing what u were talking about?? if so i am 99.9% certain thats ur backup siren/alarm buzzer thingy...

and omg...its beautifull.. mine used to have air ride as well... loved the setup..if u havent heard or visited it yet.. hit up these guys.. wonderful group of people..

I think the blocks are because one of the previous owners were too lazy to get the proper U bolts...

Hopefully someone with your same year cart, can post a pic of what their's looks like!

Re: quick question
sleezego or anybody else who knows...you said you can use the 12volt to hook up quick and see if the motor and everything works as long as you hook it up right. How is hooking it up right?
