If you want faster then you can purchase a Plum Quick IQ motor for $300 without a core and including shipping and get speeds from 24-26MPH. The price of a good controller will be around $400 by itself. According to Plum Quick the aftermarket controller will give you more torque at low speeds over your stock controller but upper speed and torque would be about the same. I've done this already and my fastest speed has been 26.5 but that is NOT the norm, more like 25MPH and from a dead stop I'll get to 16MPH in 5 seconds... the link is below:

$300 to $400 and get 26 MPH
Thank You for the Link, GOOD READ!

I just called Robby at Plum Quick and ordered the Plum Quick IQ motor upgrade that gives about 25% more power. I should have it in about a week. I gotta tell ya, they give great customer service.

Boy, the information that they can provide is amazing. I now know what I have.

Robby says I don’t need to do the upgrade chip settings because their motor makes that setting un-needed. Also, because my cart use is in the High Sierra mountains in California, I will be better off NOT doing larger tires (and a lift). I will have more torque with stock tires.

The motor switch sounds like it is very straight forward.

They are great people! Make sure you let us know how your install goes and use a GPS to test your cart speed. I'm interested to see what you get without larger tires!

The new motor came last night. Tonight I installed the motor and it was brain dead easy. At 9 PM I did a test drive down my street. It runs strong and climd my (hill) driveway with no problem.

Great news D8WKND! Do you think you could round up a GPS and let us know what speed you get now?
