Anyone try this LED battery meter??
I saw this on e-bay and was wondering if anyone out here has one or knows of them...accurate? I like the looks but looks won't help when sitting on the side of a path with dead batteries and a meter that still shows half life left.

Re: Anyone try this LED battery meter??
All of these meters need to checked with a voltmeter after instalation....the cheapest one works as well as the most expensive if you make a note of where the meter is when your pack is down 50%

Re: Anyone try this LED battery meter??
Based on actual battery voltage my meter reads fine and is good for everyday use. I use both my Garmin, actual miles traveled as well as the LED meter. For me it's really more for looks and as said before there are meters that can do the same thing for much less!

Re: Anyone try this LED battery meter??
I decided to go with it. I liked the looks and will do as Scotty suggested...watch the battery voltages with a digital meter, and see what the LED indicator says and just learn its calibration.. These things are just a "ballpark" indicator of voltages anyway, but its better than what I have now...nothing...and I think it looks cool also
