Oxfordlawn, is this what you were trying to post to show what Scotty was explaining to us?

From Trojan's website: http://www.trojanbattery.com/tools/faqs.aspx

Lead acid batteries do not develop any type of memory. This means that you do not have to deep discharge or completely discharge a battery before recharging it. For optimum life and performance, we generally recommend a discharge of 20 to 50% of the battery’s rated capacity even though the battery is capable of being cycled to 80%.

They are even recommending as little as 20% discharge to a maximum of 50% discharge like Scotty was explaining! One thing I found interesting on their site was that they also suggest not to undercharge as well as overcharge even though the batteries won't develop memories.

10. Prevent undercharging the batteries. Undercharging causes stratification.

Stumbled across your nice site tonight. I am reworking a 99 48V CC 4 person. I am installing a carbon fiber dash in a night or two. Got a cool carbon fiber steering wheel too. My question... I am installing a led state of charge meter. My ign swith is only 2 pole. There was a little battery light connected. How do I connect the meter, it is a 48v? Also I disconnected what looked to be a buzzer that was screwed inside the dash. It looks factory installed...what is it? Thanks for your help guys.
