Default 2000 dS CHARGER PROBLEM

Charger is plugged in to cart only battery light flashes 20-25 sec on 4 sec off. Charger also trips the breaker on the front after about 1 min of charging..

Sounds like you have a ground if it keeps tripping the breaker. Check out this thread http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...eshooting.html and you should be able to pinpoint the issue. If not, let us know and we can circle the wagons....

Weak breaker or a loose connection at the breaker.

Try plugging the charger into a different circuit...run an extension cord into the house to get away from the garage or outside circuit...if that works you will know it's the breaker otherwise it will be a shorted diode in the charger...

Then the flashing is correct and is designed to do that. It is letting you know you did not get a complete charging cycle and/or A/C power was lost.

If the charger breaker trips more than 3 times it becomes weak... Replace the breaker!

Is this a Powerdrive charger?
If so, I just fixed the same issue on a Powerdrive 1 charger for a guy at camp. His cart kept popping the circuit breaker on the charger. I figured it needed a rebuild kit from Revolution Golf Cars. So I took the charger to my camp site and gave him my PD 2 to use until I got his repaired. I plugged his into my Carryall and it worked fine, never popped the circuit breaker at all. charged for about three hours, so I took the cover off to check things out.

Try this, I know it sounds crazy but it worked on this charger and it's been charging fine for the past three weeks.

Take the wire from the circuit breaker to the relay off and using pliers, squeeze the female spade connector so it goes onto the relay very tight. That is all I did and the charger now works on his cart without popping the breaker.

Guy wanted to give me $50 for "fixing" it, I told him I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if he paid me anything for what I did.
