Default Help with Light Kit Wiring

Im officially stumped! I am building a stretch cart and had hooked up all of the harness extensions that came with the kit as well as added the bucket harness and an extension for that. I am running a separate 12volt Group 24 battery with a bus bar and fuse block panel. I've run the blue wire from the bucket harness to the fuse block (positive) and plugged in the male bullet from the bucket harness into the female bullet by the OBC (negative). I then plugged in the 2 yellow wires from the add on light harness to the toggle switch, I've got NOTHING! I have tested the switch and it is fine. I've checked the fuse in the positive side of the bucket harness and it is fine. I've installed probably 10 of these light kits and had no issues. What am I forgetting? How can I test for power from the bucket harness to make sure it is not bad, I am yet to find a wire diagram that matches what i have. Any help is appreciated!

Do you have 12 volts going into fuse block?

Take your 12v tester and check where you have 12v and where you don't. If you have 12v then you don't have a solid negative.

You need to connect the negative from your 12v battery to the cart negative as well.

Sergio,
Are you saying I need to pull the negative from the bucket harness that is currently plugged into the female bullet and run it to 12v Negative?

I prefer all voltages in the cart have the same negative reference, so I would connect the negative from the 48v pack (yellow female bullet connector on battery bucket) and the negative of the 12v battery together.

The black wire from the bucket harness would then connect to those wires wherever is convenient.

If You want to keep your 12v isolated from the 48v side, You will need to run the black wire from the bucket harness to your 12v battery negative instead of the negative provided in the cart battery bucket.

Just keep in mind in this case (isolated systems) the +12v will not work with a negative from the cart harness and the +48v will not work with a negative from bucket harness/lights/accessories wiring.

Isn't there a grey bullet under the dash on the right side?

That bullet connector is to inject +48v switched power to the bucket harness.

That will not do much good when the negative from the aux 12v battery is not connected to the pack negative.

Just curious Sergio. With an isolated 12v battery, what would be the advantage of running a wire to pack negative from 12v battery negative instead of just to the accessory battery?

If You want the 12v to be isolated you would not make any connections to the carts pack negative battery.
