Default O.B.C.

Started a post several days ago. Having a problem with solenoid not getting power after sitting several days on charger.
Couple days ago disconnect charger turn on key no click from solenoid. Tried several times still nothing other times it has worked after several on and off with the key.
Put switch to tow and disconnected neg. battery cable letting sit for several minutes. After hooking back up, turn on key and solenoid clicks and cart runs.
So is it a chance the obc is bad ?
Cart is 09 Precedent, 500 alltrax, large solenoid, #2 wires, and D&D motor

If Precedents sit for a while ,they will go to sleep.
You have to wake them up usually by just stepping on pedal.
Have you had any problem since?

The OBC will go to sleep after 3 days only if the charger is not plugged in to the cart.

If the OBC is in lockout mode, the reverse buzzer will not work when the FNR is on REV.

If that is the case and the cart is still charging, You can by-pass just the OBC lockout:
Cut the Blue wire near the OBC body and tape the small piece that goes into the OBC (it will not be used).

Cut the White wire about half way between the 6-pin connector and the OBC body.

Connect all three wires together: the blue going to the connector and both white wires.

The OBC 6-pin connector will remain plugged after the wiring modifications above.

That will by-pass the Controller lockout but keep the OBC in control of the charging.

Just keep in mind this will allow the cart to run while the charger is plugged, so you may want to run the DC cord through the steering wheel if you need a reminder.

Thanks Sergio, I park and plug my cart, have no reverse.
I purchased a DPI charger from Scotty a couple years ago. After reading a couple post think I will disconnect the OBC, and see what that does.
Before I move on to the selonid

Which DPI did you get from scotty?
There are two types. One for carts with OBC and one for carts with bypassed OBC.

Guess I need to check that when I get back home.
After reading DPI web page, assumed they were all smart chargers.
Thanks for the heads up.

If you have this charger, it is a direct replacement for the Club Car charger. Requires OBC.
DPI calls it the BTL charger

If you have this charger, it is the "smart" charger that does not require an OBC

You took the guess work out of that. OBC stays.
Thanks
