tiggntaz,

Call the guy, and ask for the serial number!

It should be something like:
(for example) A9826-XXXXXX

A= DS Electric
98= 1998
26= week of manufacture

at least we would have more info to go on!

I am at work right now and told my wife to email him and get the info. Hopefully tommrow I can post it and let the cart gods guide me in the correct direction.

One more question. He said a new controler would be about $700 and the cart should break 25 Mph with out a problem. Is that right or is he just blowing smoke up my @$$?

If it's a 48V series, changing the controller won't increase speed.. It will boost torque.. A series cart will require a motor change to see 20+ MPH..

If and this is a VERY big if... If it's an IQ cart a controller change can get you to 22-25 MPH..
