Default Light ? for 05 precedent 4 12v to 6 8v

Okay I'm going to try and ask this ? again I'm not good with schematics so on a 05 model president's golf carts where does it get its positive and its negative from for the light kit harness look like it's all just plug and play unlike the ezgo I had.. I know that the positive comes from the blue wire that goes to the last battery but I'm not sure where to get the negative from I just got my voltage reducer in so I'm ready to wear it up. The reason I'm tagging on this post is because I did the same conversion. Please help if anyone can. I went to a local deal all they had was the newer precedent carts and it's cotroler is located in back and they pulled off a blk/w striped wire out of the wire lum

You need to hook the negative up to the B- on the controller.
That way the OBC will read energy units lost and compensate for that loss during the charge cycle.

then I can run a second negative off the reducer to run a radio and led lights right. And On the positive side the lights blue Wire coming off the last battery I just hook to the output side of the voltage reducer right.

Hooking up reducer is correct. But you really should have your reducer output tied to a fuse block and run all of you lights and accessories off of the fuse block.

Okay so I found the two wires the ones is coming off the last battery which is blue and the black wire which is coming out of the wire Lube I'm just going to unplug both of those and run my lights directly off of the voltage reducer. That should stop my lights from dimming at night when pedal is press completely down. It shouldn't the obc at all should it. No different than not having a light kit at all right.

No problem there, but are you going to have anything other than lights hooked to the reducer?
If you have more than one circuit, you really should have separate circuits on a fuse block.

I plan to order one before installing radio. but for now I'm just going to run led's under cart and headlights. But funny thing is I put a in- line 15 amp atc fuse link on positive side of voltage reducer and just hooked stright up to neg. Well when I connected the two side's back together got a big spark. nothing no where is touching. I just was wanting to see if the reducer was actually going to put out 12v before hooking up lights is that normal. Was it just loading up the capacitors in the reducer. I got 12 v reading nothing feels hot. just wasn't inspecting that. the polarity is correct. I unhook the middle cable and I'm reading .3 v is that normal.

It will give off quite a spark when you hook it up.
Then the reducer needs to energize.
Hopefully it has energized and you now have lights?

wow it's working great no dimming what so ever took it up some pretty steep hills as well. and the green led's was showing off as well . Wife was very pleased. Thanks for all your help. Now just need to find me a marine fuse bar. I think I'll wait for the off season to make everything look factory and install radio. got a Bluetooth monster speaker box on it now witch actually works pretty good. Just doesn't pick up any stations
