club car quit with no warning
My Club Car golf cart, s/n A9328 336447, quit on me with no warning after 11 holes. I stopped to let my partner out and stepped on the acclerator to take off and it would not move. I have no "click". The batteries are fully charged I have removed and cleaned all terminals, I have touched every electrical connection on the car and found no problems. I replaced the solenoid behind the passenger seat, still no go and no click, I tested voltage across the small posts of the new solenoid and I get no voltage when depressing the accelerator. I don't know where to look next.

check the f/r switch and key switch. could be a loose wire or bad switch.

Re: club car quit with no warning
Thanks for the help guys, I finally found the problem, the yellow wire inside of the wire harness going to the solenoid was broken. It was not visable without taking all of the wires out of the harness. Lesson learned, dom't take for granted just because the wires are in a sheath does not mean they can't go bad..

Re: club car quit with no warning
You probably also learned these carts don't give you a "warning".. they just quit.

Re: club car quit with no warning
Yes, I'm new at new at diagnosing wiring problems, as I said, it was a good lesson and an inexpensive one too. I'm good at fixin' broke stuff, like any other trained monkey, but real diagnosis is another story. I guess the real lesson is "patience" is key. Thanks again Ed..
