Unhappy About to go absolutely crazy!! no joke

I have an old golf cart..no idea what year...lets just say Jesus may have drove it to Jerusalem. yeah that old. I have replaced the batteries, new solenoid, rebuilt the Controller (Curtis 1204) and I am stumped.
Solenoid will click and it may go or it may not. If it does go, it goes about 20 yds and cuts off. its done and not moving any more.
Here are some numbers and hopefully yall can help me make some sense of this thing:

37.6V on the battery pack
36.5V big posts on solenoid - key on - in forward - not pressing pedal
00.1V on big posts when I press the pedal
00.1V B- to M- pressed pedal

I dont know what else to try....if you got any ideas please help a brother out!!
Thanks TIM

Put that voltmeter on the battery pack and try to go. Does the pack voltage drop much? Jesus may have forgotten to put water in the batteries.

37.7 when I hit go....wheels spin...
let off the gas...hit go...37.7 ...wheels not spinning

this is what I get every time.....goes the first time...then nothing after.

I just bought these batteries today and put in...not yet charged them..so this is the "fresh off the shelf" battery pack reading. But it was doing that with the old batteries...the old batteries were swollen and 4 yrs old so I knew I was due a set soon

Sounds like a potential bad solenoid. Sometimes when they fail they won't make an internal connection, even if they do actually click.

Check all the cables. Give them twist and pull. I've seen that cause these issues before. May look fine, but under the heat shrink it could be corroded into.

Sorry. I missed that part when I read it the first time. I would take a good look at the F&R switch and make sure none of the contacts are burnt or melted.

The voltage from M- to B- should be 0v when the pedal is all the way down.

What is the voltage between M- to B- when the solenoid just clicks?
