No - just meaning that if this VEHICLE is what you have been wanting - it looks fair to me.

If this is the PRICE you have been wanting to spend, then compare this cart with others in that range.

48 volt Club Cars are our #1 vehicle we get in for service. Nothing wrong with them, but I feel that they tend to have more electrical issues than other brands.

I really just want a good reliable cart. Is the 48 volt club car a known problem cart?
P.S. price is not important value is my concern

I had another dealer tell me he will not touch them and now you tell me this I am starting to have second thoughts. Also dealer told me a very expensive part goes out on them more than he cared to put up with something like a thousand bucks is this true?

I don't know what he is referring to for $1,000.00? I don't want to start a manufacturing debate, just know that the older DS 48 volt club cars do have more electronics in them than can potentially go wrong. HOWEVER, ANY vehicle can have issues and problems. The cart you're looking at is 9 years old. That's a minimum of 5 to 6 years somewhere else other than the original golf course when it was new. 9 year old electronics, wiring, motors, controllers, cables, frame, brakes, steeringm etc. Just think on your decision.

Madvetos-I answered your other thread re serial numbers. The Club Car 48 volt has been out since the mid 90s. Still the largest number of 48V sold. Repairs are expensive on any cart thats why some of us like to do our own work. We get parts on line at good prices. Stay with getting that serial number as I am sure it is an older "00, if that. It also has split seat backs which is a dating issue as well. I am not hot for Interstate Batteries but if they are new ask for the code marks on the bats. Then check with Interstate on line & you can get the year built.

Ask for a warrenty U cant go wrong, I got a 6 month guarentee bumper to bumper on
my 1999 DS. The guy probably does this for a living and would be willing to guarentee
it as long as he does the repair work. Awsome rear sear Kit !!

Yea, with that rear seat folded out to cargo box you could carry a lot of beer and ice. Be sure to put a drain hole in it.
