Default Swapped a 2007 IQ motor onto my 2000 club car

Swapped the newer IQ motor onto my cart now it cuts back at 20mph what would be causing this the speed sensor? If I change the speed sensor out and install a high speed magnet will it stop cutting back on me and give me a little more speed

Not sure, it may be max speed for that controller, however there are no speed code settings on those controllers. I had a 99 that I got 22 mph out of with a bandit motor.

On edit you can unhook the speed sensor on that cart. You don't need the magnet.

Ok unhooked the sensor got up to 22 now so the magnet won't help mine out because of it being the older style controller?

I think that's about all you are going to get with that set up. The guy I sold the 99 to runs the day lights out of it. WOT every where he goes.

The magnet would only trick it, when you unpluged it you are getting all that it has to give in present condition....
