Default Motor type

I have a 2006 club car ds and I'm trying to figure out which speed sensors to get. The motor says it's a club car motor which I'm assuming is the stock motor. The speed sensor on it now is flat and looks like it just snaps in but I just want to make sure I order the correct sensor. Thanks

You have a GE motor. If you buy sensor off eBay it may not work, about 70% of them fail. Get a good one from site sponsor David Hicks Revolution carts.

Thanks MrGolf. The Snap-In style sensor is for the "GE" Motor.

Should I also replace the magnet if I replace the sensor?

If you're trying to tweak the speed. (You will lose your regen capability though...)

reason why I'm changing sensor is that the cart goes very slow up hill and is a lot slower then a friends cart which are the same club car models. His is just 2008. Not trying to make it faster then usual just want to get it where it should be. If that makes any sense.

It makes sense, but if it is only slower on hills, a speed sensor will not fix that. That is a torque relationship issue and is probably caused by your pack voltage (lack thereof) or his may have a little higher amp controller. If it runs fine on flat ground save your money and monitor your pack as that is most likely the issue.

How slow is slow? Have you checked it on a GPS?
