Default How Many Lithium Upgrades out there?

Just wondering how many members have lithium upgrades on the site. May be making the switch soon and trying to find the best option for extended range.

Been doing some reading. Looks like the consensus is to use Nissan Leaf Lithium cells.

I've just seen the ones from EV that several were using here. I will do a LOT more when it gets close....

EV Battery in Las Vegas has been our "go to" source for pre configured packs made from Leaf or Volt cells. However, I understand he is having health issues right now and is not producing anything.

There are several people selling individual cells but I can't find anyone else that is doing kits.

the 47ah for 685 bucks seems like a good deal. http://evbatterycenter.com/HAC4/inde...bms&Itemid=680 I wonder how many miles 47ah converts into, roughly.

If you read about half way down the page you posted, it says 18-20 miles

18-20 should be plenty for use around here. I hope they start selling again soon. I could see myself ordering several over the next few months.

I'm looking for more like 40 to 50 miles, so I figure about a 120 AH system. I am looking for the right setup to get that kind of distance on flat roads.

Just looking into this setup, but don't know if it's the way to go....
