Default Deal or No Deal ?

Newbie here.

I am looking for a cart to use when we camp and to putt around the neighborhood.

I am currently stuck on a 2002 Club Car DS 48v. It looks really nice comes with a rear flip seat the batteries are 2 years old. Comes with the charger and the top. It is stock with no mods. The guy said it came from Augusta National and is a TPC ....he said that stood for Tournement Pro Cart...meaning it was only driven by Tournement Pros. It also has decals on it that say that. Does this sound like something worth going after? This would be my first cart. He is asking 1800.00 for it.

Just think, Arnold Palmer may have ridden in that cart. Just for comparison sake, I bought an 03 CC series last year, stock with 5 year old batteries and no back seat for $1400. Make sure you test those batteries before buying because even two year olds can be bad if not maintained.

I am amazed if this was only used by the Pros, normal lease for CC's are 3 years.
Then they get replace and sell to CC buyers(dealers) ...etc. .
So if the first Batteries lasted 5 Years then 2 years is about right for the second set.
Check to see what Brand of Batrtery the 2nd/3rd owner put in , Trojan's are Best.
The price sounds reasonable , if this is a CC dealer or Golf Cart shop ask for a warrenty , U can't go wrong.

Thanks for all the replies and Welcomes. I'm wondering if I should stick with this one a DS series or if I should find an IQ model? Pro's or Con's on the two types? At this point I'm sure I'd like it to go faster than the stock 11 or 12 mph, but not into the 25 mph speeds. I'm thinking the IQ would be the easiest and least expensive to get a little more speed, am I right on this? Tell me what your opinions are this is my first cart and I'd like to get it right the first time.
