Default battery water loss

anyone else seeing a big water loss in batteries this year ??
i'm having to add water every week this year , last year it was every 3 weeks

I believe it is the heat index is so much higher this year. Mine are too. And I am getting more mist around the tops..... (And I only run mine ~1/4" above the plates)

I haven't had to added water to mine in 8 months. But that could be, because I haven't bought my batteries for my cart yet

I have had to add water approximately every two weeks here. Wasn't sure if I had a problem. Maybe not,will check them again tomorrow. Good point about the heat index,it's been pretty hot here in central S.C.

Is water loss from electrolysis in the water making hydrogen? Distilled water only because it's striped of conductive metals and solids. I wonder tho if deep cycling or hard use in high temps causing sheeding causing the TDS of the water to increase causing electrolysis venting to low water increase acidity and that damages your battery's too. Dang old lead acid

TDS should not increase with distilled water. It would with DI water due to the chemical exchange in the resins used for regeneration. Tap water would absolutely do it....
