1987 club car
quick question. I have a 1987 club car with the 5 solenoids. All solenoids are clicking and I am not getting any movement to the wheels. I went ahead and replaced the master solenoid. I checked all the micro switches are working. I checked them by placing a volt meter on main negative and the positive side of the volt meter I connected to each solenoid. and for every click I got power to the respective solenoid. one thing that I find that seems out of the ordinary is, I constantly have 36 volts to the last #5 solenoid, closest to the passenger side, at all times. would this mean that the motor is bad/ shorted out? any insight would be great. I really don't think I should have 36V at that solenoid at all times. from my understanding it should slowly rise as I depress the pedal and it passes each resistor.

Re: 1987 club car
Most problems on this board and solutions are learning tips for others and can be a benefit from the diagnosis and solution.
Since you still have problem, post up more information and someone can help you with the situation most likely. To me this sounds like a motor issue but I don't have experience with resistor carts. Many here do! Motor testing is the next step and there are many threads about it. Also pics are encouraged! Good luck! |
