Default new wire and OBC

I am getting ready to run new #4 wire. I was told to just leave the original wire through the OBC and just run a second wire from the same terminals and leave them both hooked up. Will this work?

Thanks

Yes it will work, but the 4 ga wire will fit through the OBC just fine with out the terminal lug and is a much cleaner way to do it. You can even get some 2 ga wire through the OBC with a little lube.
