Go to six 8v. And I believe CC makes a drop in bucket to accommodate the 8v batts for the Precedent...

Re: 08 electric club car battery mod. 4 - 12's to ???
I recently upgraded a Club Car DS from 4-12's to 6-8's.
I have not completed the project yet, so I do not know what kind of extended run time to expect. It will be interesting to see if some people respond with real life results from the upgrade. What are your expectations for extended run time? Aflyer |

Re: 08 electric club car battery mod. 4 - 12's to ???
You can get a rough estimate by comparing the amp hour rating of the batteries. As an example, if your 12V are 150 and and 8V are 200 then you can figure about a 33% increase in run time. Roughly.
You might find that the voltage drop on the 8V is less which might result in you not charging as soon as well. |

If You have a 2008.5 Precedent model with the electronics behind the batteries you are ready to go.
If You have the old style with the electronics between the batteries, here is a DIY thread: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...-part-1-a.htmlThe official battery bucket conversion from Club Car is not cheap. |
