Default What are the main differences in jakes A-arm and allsports SS Lift kits?

I know from the description that the allsports increases wheelbase by 3". I called jakes and they didn't know what I was talking about.

I know they are both good lifts, but are there a lot of differences or are they mainly clones of each other?

My main question is how much is the wheel base moved forward.

I guess if I called Jakes and they didn't know what I was talking about that would be the final reason I needed to go with the All Sports lift.

But in your case, since your frame is already cut, why not just go with the Z-Plate lift kit?

One reason to stay with the stock CC DS front end is the readily available and inexpensive repair parts if and when you need them.

Another reason is the "Industry Standard" tight turning radius.

If you are interested, I have a set of Z-Plates I can sell you and I also have the extended Steering knuckle you will need. PM me if interested.

Can you post pictures of your rear suspension? How is it lifted?

They are similar, but not the same.... (A picture is worth a 1000 words (count the pieces and look at the designs)) All Sports all the way...

Jakes 4" Double A-Arm

All Sports 4" SS A-Arm

Right now it rides terrible. The rear shocks are completely compressed. The front is ok.

I want more height so I can space the wheels out more and also create some travel room.

That all makes sense.

The Z-plate lift will probably add another inch of height more than what you have now to the front, and push the wheels forward some, depending on how much of the frame they cut off.

Those rear springs look about worn out and the shocks are definitely gone by. Also most lift kits move the rear axle below the leaf spring with adds height to the rear of the cart.

Can you get some measurements on the lengths of the two front frame pieces? check the instructions below to see what I am referring to.

Check this out if you haven't seen it already:

I have a set of dual action HD leaf springs. Im going to install them with the lift. I've had The rear shocks off and they seem fine. The have just been compressed their whole life.

I'm wanting to install a a-arm lift, HD springs, and a steering box all together. That will pretty much replace all the steering and suspension.
