Default Understanding Voltage Readings??

Again I am new and just purchased a 1996 48V electric Club Car with 6 - Trojan T-875's.

Batt 1 - 8.2
Batt 2 - 8.2
Batt 3 - 8.2
Batt 4 - 8.2
Batt 5 - 8.1
Batt 6 - 8.0

When I test from Batt 6 Negative to the frame I get 35.8

Are my reading good? also, I noticed and was told by the previous owner that sometimes I have to put a jumper wire into the charge port where the fuse goes to the negative on Batt 6 to let the computer know it is charging a 48v??

Something is wrong. You should NEVER have voltage to the frame. NEVER ground to frame on an electric cart.

huh, I was told by the owner previous that is the way to test if you are getting over 48V. there is nothing attached to the frame it is just used as a conducter

I don't know dick about CC sparkies, but I do know you can forget everything the previous owner told you. Listen to Roady89, he knows his stuff.

BTW, batteries 5 and 6 need attention.

It doesn't matter which manufacturer's cart you have, the first thing you want to do is go the the Trojan Batteries website and read up on battery specs and care.

To get pack Voltage check from Pos in Bat #1 to Neg on Bat #6
Go to http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/electric-club-car/ and read the
Battery and charge stickies.
PS. If these are supposed to be fully charged ? U need Batteries !
But check with Hydrometer to confirm according to Sticky Chart.
