Default Doing the 12v to 8v Conversion

Hey Guys,

I am currently converting my 2006 precedent to 6x8v batteries from 4x12v. I am curious where to land the Blue wire with the inline reset connected to the last positive battery terminal. I was tracking it down on the wiring diagram but am unsure and don't want to blow something up...

Thanks for the help!

Have you physically traced the wire? Seeing that you were on a 4x12V system it is possible that it was going to an accessory that was using 12v or 24v from one or two batteries.

Yes the best i could. Looks like it is on about every 2004-8 club car precedent i could find a battery photo. According to the wiring diagram it goes to the main plug... I think

Did you have a light kit, that ran on 1 of the 12 volt batteries?

Yes I have a light kit but I did not install it... Did you take a look at the wiring diagram? Looks like that wire traces to the main plug... I dont think that is what that is.... But i am not at the house to trace it at the moment. 20170926_205602.jpg

Its the blue wire in the photo.

You need to install a 48v->12v converter on your new 6 x 8v pack.

That Blue wire will then connect to the +12v output of the converter.

Perfect. I just so happen to have one ...

So I understand. If the blue wire was terminated on the negative terminal of the battery pack... Where is the other leg located?... Or does it matter?... Curious if I install the converter with the blue wire going to the +12v terminal is that a + to + connection? (Not an educated statement....)
