Extension Kit wiring questions.....
So I'm doing an extension on a 2014 club car Precedent with light kit etc. I am at the point in the build where I need to route my wiring to the dash. I have a few questions and photos to make sure I have done it correctly never done an extension before but wired several regular carts. This is a new animal and I am just being cautious.
See below for photos and descriptions and questions in photos. Sorry for the sloppy writing. Having trouble posting the photos. Stay tuned. |

This is the main issue I think. The connectors from the MCOR extension harness don't fit the factory MCOR connectors. It's like they sent me the incorrect harness. |

Re: Extension Kit wiring questions.....
This kit came with two 5 inch adaptors. One of which connects the extension wire to the MCOR. However in the photo shown, I have the second 5 inch connector which does not match the remaining factory connections which originally plugged into the MCOR. In other words the extension kit seemingly has the same connectors at both ends.

One it for the micro switch and the other for the speed control wiper. Your harness may have some other types of plugs on them. On my new IQ harness, I had to cut the plugs off anyway since the new harness does not have plugs. Each wire had to be connected individually. Just use the old harness from the MCOR to get you to the battery bay, then splice the wires there with good crimp terminals or solder them for a better connection. I actually had to do this on most of the harness connections. Last edited by Tom47; 10-23-2017 at 05:42 AM.. Reason: Added |
