Default Function of onboard computer

I understand that the electronic speed control is probably a switching device that saves energy and extends distance compared to the old resistive speed controls, but what does the computer do that the old contols don't do.

Basically the OBC is the smart part of your charger Some fool got the smart idea to seperate the two and put the brain for the charger in the flipping cart Now you have a charger that can't think for it's self and can't be used on any other cart

Not a silly function if you store your GC for winter, wanting to keep batteries on charger.

Also, down here for some reason the EZGO batts only last about 3 years and the club car batteries last about 6 years. Something works better about the system.
