Electric club cart only goes in reverse

My 92 electric club cart clicks in forward but does not move. Works
In reverse only. It makes a load clicking noise but will not move.
Checked batteries and cables not problem.

Sounds like an F&R switch problem with the main contacts. Swap the 2 cables on the swivel terminals (center) and see - if the problem reverses direction replace the switch with CC82F HD F&R

I found that the battery under the middle of seat only showing 4 volts. So this might be the issue. Going to get bad battery changed out and see if this could be it.

If you have a resistor cart with a VGLIDE, the factory Reverse configuration only uses batteries #4, #5 and #6 (battery #1 is pack positive), so if battery #1, #2 or #3 is bad, it would only affect the forward direction.

I fixed the problem and it was a bad battery. It was the third battery from the left Side of cart. New battery installed and works great. I had noticed when charger was plugged in the Needle only move slightly meaning something wasn’t working with charging. The bad battery was the problem.

scottyb. I have a 36 volt 1982 club car ds that only goes in reverse. I tried switching the cables as suggested. I still only get reverse? I spoke to the folks that I got it from and they told me all was well until their grand son went over a curb and one battery touched the F/R. any suggestions? Thanks,
