With the key switch OFF, when you push the cart by hand does it offer resistance and beeps the buzzer?

Re: 09 ds won't keep speed
Possible Causes:
Missing magnet. You should be able to easily see if the magnet is still attached to the end of the Motor shaft. If so, disconnect the 3-pin connector from the speed sensor and measure the voltage between the Red and Black wires, You should get +15v. If You do get the +15v, check the continuity between the Green wire and Controller pin #14, if You have continuity, the issue is most likely another bad sensor. |

Re: 09 ds won't keep speed
I replaced the magnet and the speed sensor so tomorrow I will check the wires.... my handheld computer is saying it's a speed sensor fault and I tried 2 speed sensors.... is there a sonic weld between those wires??

Re: 09 ds won't keep speed
No sonic weld on an DS IQ speed sensor harness.
Test the voltages at the 3-pin connector. |

Quote:
You will need an insulation piercing probe for your meter or a way to probe the green wire while it is still connected to the speed sensor. The voltage on the green wire (in relation to B- or the black wire) should keep changing from 5v to 0v as you very slowly turn one of the rear wheels. If the green wire does not change to 0v, the speed sensor is bad. If the voltage changes, the controller is bad. |

Re: 09 ds won't keep speed
It is going from 4.99 to 2.46 when slowly hit the pedal... so that means the speed sensor is bad?
