curtis explosion
36 volt cc, been doing great last several months, then other morning tried to go and it would not move very fast at all, foward or reverse, charged batts night before and showed 37.10 on the led, then put in foward hit the pedal and the controller blew up,it blew the plastic end cap off the controller, smoked alot, waited few hrs and tried again, blew some more like a loud poping sound and nothing. What could cause this?

Re: curtis explosion
I've never had that happen. But, I think it's pretty safe to say that controller has some issues that are probably beyond repair.
For safety's sake, I would eliminate any power going to it and get it out of the cart. |

After you remove the positive and negative battery cables, check for a fused solenoid contact. |
