Longer brake cables....where and how much?
Im wanting to put longer brake cables on the rear because they are pretty tight as is with the 7.5" lift. Do they make longer cables and if so what is a good price for them?
I would also like to add an inch or so in the rear so this would help allow for that. Thanks all!!!! |

Re: Longeke cables....where and how much?
Check with the sponsors. They can hook ya up with longer cables for the 10" All Sports Lift. I'm assuming this is an elec. cart. The axle can be rotated using the u-bolts to angle the cable mounts up toward the frame to create slack in the cables. Loosen the u bolts and then tighten the front u bolt ( the one in front of the axle) to expose more threads through the nuts than on the rear u bolt. Then re tighten. This will rotate the axle housing in the axle seats (perches) and angle the cables upward.
Hope this helps... |

Re: Longer brake cables....where and how much?
Ive also seen the cables loosened by rotating the brakes only, putting the driver on passenger and passenger on driver and flipping them... not the easiest process but it works.
the last time I had the problem I used an old EZ GO brake cable, and added some extenders to make the cables reach properly... |

Extenders? That is all I would need. Where can I get them? I havent been under the cart to look at the brakes in 5 months or so but I thought I would inquire. It may be much more simple to me once I look for my self.

Re: Longer brake cables....where and how much?
There are brake cable extention kits (For lifted electric Club Cars)
My CC dealer has them, (he may have copied the Idea) There is one place that has them... but, I refuse refer them! again... Check with our sponsors to see if they have, or can get cable extention kits for lifted CC electrics! |
