Default 2007 Precedent limp mode has me stumped.

Hi all, I have been a long-time lurker. Finally decided I couldn't live without becoming a member:)
My 2007 Precedent went into limp mode recently, exhibiting all the signs of a speed sensor. I blindly replaced it with no change. I've tested the mcor, solenoid, and 3 pin harness going to the sensor. All readings seem to check out fine. When I jack the cart up and spin one wheel, the sensor doesn't even seem to acknowledge the spinning of the wheel.
I was attempting to add a light kit a while back and popped a fuse. I replaced it without difficulty.
When I drive the cart, it starts strong, then slows to a crawl. My rollaway braking feature also does not work.
Anything else to try before replacing the controller?
Thanks!

I have the same problem with my 2015 precedent and I was told the batteries are the issue.

Where did you buy the speed sensor? The aftermarket ones are junk.

I have actually bought two, both on Amazon from Golf Kart Kings. When the first didn't work, I returned it for another. Same result on both. They were $12 shipped.

That could definitely be your problem. A good factory OEM sensor is your best option. Factory sensors are close to $100.00 but they work.

Thanks Tahoe. Is this something someone with a scan tool could decipher? I love spending money on my cart, but I prefer that it be spent in the right spot. Where do you recommend buying the OEM part?

I'm in your store, wallet in-hand. Before I purchase, is it likely that two new speed sensors were both faulty? I would think that at least one would have worked.

Yes. It's extremely likely. If you'll do a search on the forum you'll see several instances where people have bought those sensors and I've sold them a factory one and they've worked perfectly. Make sure the magnet underneath the sensor isn't broken. If that's the case, no sensor in this world is going to work. If the magnet is in good shape, the sensor is the route I'd take.
