Talking Battery Charger / New Project

Hi everyone, I'm new to the cart world, but this forum has been a life saver so far, everyone is really helpful so thanks in advance.

I just got a '91 Club Car (I think, see image) and it's in really good shape (for a '91), it's been sitting up for a while but luckily it was sitting up inside a building and not outside. The first thing I had to do was the obvious, get some batteries just to see of this thing was gonna work and be worth the time and money, and so after looking all over town for a "cheap" set of batteries to see if it was going to even work, I decided to roll the dice, so I got 6 new Trojans and I'm up and running! It runs like a top! I'll get to the point. I have an AccuPower 536R club car charger that came with it. There is no on/off switch, nor any timer, you just plug it in and it kicks on. There is only an amp meter on it. My questions are:

- What do the readings mean? It seems like when it first kicks on the amps are high then it slowly gets lower. (does that mean the batteries are getting ready or charger pushing less and less amps as charging is completing?)

- How long should I leave the charger plugged into the cart for? What is too long"?

- Can anyone tell me which model cart I have from the tag? (I've read the many different posts just figured I'd check)

- Can anyone post some pics of homemade rear seats instead of the $400 kits? After just spending 600, it's kind of hard to spend another 400 right off the bat so the kids can ride on the back, as you all know this is an expensive hobby, but I'm hooked.

Thanks in advance for your responses!

its a 1991 club car 36v....

Good job on getting trojans, you won't regret it.. take care of them..

Your charger does have a timer, but its inside the car... as long as its coming up and going down, you can trust it to do its job... Be alarmed if it don't do that or if it magically gets extremely loud or extremely quiet... That will be a sign of a failed heatsink.

You say it has a timer inside the car? How long should I leave the charger running for?
