about controller
i just read a post about if you have any more than a 500 amp controller in a 48 volt pack. is it a waste or not? i have a 95 cc 48 v 700 amp controller with 4 guage cables heavy duty f/r with 22x10 tires thanks in advance and if so would i get more run time dropping to a 500 amp without losing my torque.....

Re: about controller
Some one correct me if I am wrong !!!!! I understand there is only 4-500 amps available from the battery pack at any one time. So a gate valve (controller) larger than this max is a waste.

Re: about controller
I have taken coil carts and converted them to controllers and the run time increases.

I actually think there are some extreme motors out there that can draw the huge amounts of amps upon startup as in 'doing wheelies... But the carts that I built with 480 and 650 amp controllers performed similar and were scary quick..... so what more do you need? Wheelies? Then yes, you will need an extreme controller and motor and a helmet |
