Default Cc precedent - 4-12v vs 6-8v battery range shootout!

Hey guys. Don't mind the dramatic title lol. I knew shootout would sound exciting and garner some attention lol. Basically what I'm looking for is some ACTUAL result on the range people have gotten out of their carts with 4-12v batter config, and the 6-8v configuration. I already know the 6-8v config is superior, but if like to know some number to see just how much, and what kind of range everyone getting out of their carts on a SINGLE charge, without going below about 50% discharged state. We will need to know some basic info such as age/date code of batteries, is cart lifted/modified, and what brand and model of batteries yours using.
Maybe format the results something like this

4-12v or 6-8c config
Battery brand - model - battery code/age.
Stock cart, or modded drive system - lifted or not
Distance traveled in miles
Beginning state of charge in volts
end state of charge in volts

Should be interesting to see the results

I don't have any actual numbers, but the cars with 12 Volts in them wouldn't play 3 rounds of golf per day. That's why they switched back to 8 Volts.

...and the overall lifespan on 12's is quite a bit shorter, right?

Yes. I just changed out a set of 2015s yesterday that had been well maintained (by me) 2.5 years old. Shot.

Also another story...

I have a customer who has a 2005 Precedent. She bought it new. Back when I worked at the dealership we would put a set of 12 volt batteries in for her every 2.5-3 years. In 2013 I finally convinced her to convert it to 8 volts. I installed the OEM conversion kit along with some Trojan T-875s. That cart was just in my shop a couple of weeks ago and the batteries are still in excellent condition. I performed a discharge test just to be sure, and they were perfect. 98 minutes on the discharge machine. Batteries dated G3. FYI, Club Car considers anything over 60 minutes "Passing the test"

I was easily getting 20 miles out of a charge with my old lead acid batteries here in Miami.

Ok so I've got a result...

2010 precedent 6 8v config
Interstate 160ah batts 11/17 date code
D&d motor, non lifted
Went about 15 miles last night
Volt meter says 48.4 this morning which is 50%...

Seems really low to me. Like literally half what I should be getting. Anyone know what gives?
