Default 2011 With New Batteries But slow speed?

My 2011 Precedent was running great .....added water to 7 yr. old batteries and charged and then the cart was running at half the speed it was before .Figured the batteries were just old and finally bit the dust , so I bought new Trojan t185`s and put in. all the cables are correct and batteries fully charged. The cart still runs about half the speed as before the new batteries. Very noticeable drop in speed ....any helpful tips?.....I did put in a new Mcor about a year ago.....which fixed a surging condition at that time .....Thanks for any help ....

Bad speed sensor, heck it could be unhooked, it is on the end of your motor. If you can push your cart without beeping or trying to resist that's it.

Thanks so much for the help!

Cart needs to be in run not tow to do the test. Try the roll test in neutral, F and R just to be sure.

I pulled the speed sensor ...question : does the magnet have a noticeable magnetism to it? Mine has practically no magnetism ...maybe a 1-2 on the 10 scale....I`m guessing , this is my problem , and why does the speed sensor go bad ? something I did wrong or just time to crash and burn? Thanks again for the help ....David

The magnet is likely ok. Don't get a sensor off eBay they are 90% bad. Get one from David at http://www.revolutiongolfcars.com. He is a site sponsor and will stand behind what he sells you.

It is a transducer that reads the pulses on the magnet poles. That's how it counts the rpm the motor is turning. When the controller does not detect the pluses from the motor it goes into limp mode which is about 8 mph. This is to protect the motor from over reving.
