Default 6"A-arm Lift with front disc brakes

I'm fixing to start purchasing my upgrades for my 05 Precedent, got my motor performance upgrades mapped out ..but it seems to me the only manufacturer for a 6" a-arm lift with available bolt on disc brakes is Jakes ....am I correct ? Cart is currently sitting on a Jakes 6" spindle lift with 23 x 10.5 x 12 wheels and tires.

I don't know if your Jakes front brakes will fit or work with another makers A-arm lift kit. But I know they work with a Jakes A-arm. Unless you have some compelling reason to go with another maker, and you feel you need the front brakes (I know I need front brakes) then why not just go with the Jakes?

I’m currently considering front brake options. My cart has the factory Club Car lift which I believe is an All Sports kit. With that said, at this point I think buying the Jakes brake kit and fabbing up the caliper mounts is probably the easiest solution for me.

I do wish someone would make a front brake kit that is more “universal”. Really the hard part is the caliper mount and I can’t imagine there is that many different spindles out there. Any just in looking at pictures, mine don’t really see any different than the Jakes except for the fact they are missing the ring with the screw holes for the caliper mounts.

Kinda why I was asking is I can get a decent deal on a used All Sports lift .... Im more than capable of fabbing up mounts, taking them to the powdercoat shop , etc ...but I'd rather just buy the Jake's set up and be done with it .... Im getting lazy in my old age ....

I just tool another look at the Jake's brake kit. Apparently the spindle lift brake kits come with the caliper mounting plate, the A-arm lift brake kits come with new spindles. Now I'm wondering if I buy the kit will the spindles work on my lift? I might just give it a shot to see.

I have 2 jakes front caliper brackets, Ausco hydraulic calipers and Ausco rotors if you are interested in doing the fab work yourself. You would need to do your own actuation system. I have enough calipers and rotors to do the rear as well. Could be a good setup for someone with the know how.

Just FYI, I have never used these calipers on the front, only the rear.

I was selling complete rear hydraulic disc kits but people were having trouble bleeding the system themselves (I think some were trying to bleed via the pedal which is almost impossible with these small kits)

I’ll keep that in mind if the Jakes kit isn’t going to work. I already have the Ausco rear cable disc kit installed. The front rotors are the hard part. I was thinking about using Honda 400ex calipers and rear master cylinder since they are so cheap on eBay.

I think for cart bleeding, I've read (no personal experience here) that a vacuum system does the job. A local auto brake "specialist" shop may help you out on that.

The vacuum system works good unless you get a leak in the line.

The best way is to put a clear plastic tube on the end of a oil can then open the bleader value with the other end of the tube pump the brake fluid backwards to the master cylinder.
