Default 2003 club car ds series 48 volt charging

I am a little confused I upgraded my cables to 2 ga gables the cable that goes from the battery negative cable back to the controller ran through a whole in the on-board computer. I just ran the new cable around the back and hooked it to the same lug on the controller. I cut the end off the old cable so I could remove it. Now my batteries won't charge, the charger starts and shuts off after about a minute. Is this a coincidence or does that cable need to run through that hole?

Through the hole of the obc. It controls the charger functions.

Yes it needs to go through the hole. And donít drill that hole out!

Yep. That is the OBC (on board computer) and it controls charging based on use. It monitors the Negative Cable.

On board computer stud kit and the extra cable needed can be had from one of our site sponsors.

Depending on the diameter of your new cables you may be able to slide it through the OBC. My cable was a tight fit but with a little lubricant it went through. Its worth a try and you should have plenty of cable to cut off the existing cable lug. Do not try to pass the cable through the OBC with the lug ring attached.
