2011 Clubcar Precedent not responding
My 2011 Electric Clubcar Precedent was moving at half speed (thought something was wrong) when I went to the mailbox. Came back, turned the key on and the cart did not go. All the lights and horn work, the batteries are 100%, the tow/run switch is set to run, but the battery level gauge is not coming on, and there is no back up buzzer when put in reverse. There is also no clicking coming from the solonoid. I bypassed the key switch and still got nothing. Any thoughts from anyone?

Re: 2011 Clubcar Precedent not responding
If the backup buzzer isn't turning on when you put it in reverse this is an indication that the controller is not powered up. This can be caused by several things. The first and most obvious would be a broken battery cable. Check all wiring and make sure it all looks good. Check the main power fuse. It's located in a black Delphi fuse holder near the solenoid. If the fuse is good, un-plug the six-pin connector from the back of the on-board computer. The onboard computer is mounted directly in front of the solenoid, next to the controller. Once unplugged, use a paperclip or piece of wire to make a jumper between the white wire and the blue wire of this six pin connector. Make your connection on the wire harness side of the plug, not the on-board computer side. See if the vehicle will operate with the jumper in place. If it runs, replace the on-board computer. If it still doesn't run, you'll need to do some further testing on the controller. If you have to dig this deep, plug the on board computer connection back in. Un-plug the sixteen pin connector from the controller. Using a voltmeter set to 200 Volts DC, probe the grey wire in the connector (pin 9) with your positive lead and put your negative lead (of your meter) on the B- (negative) post of the controller. You should see full battery pack voltage here with the run/tow switch in RUN. Next, do the same test on the tan wire (pin 10). You should see full power here with the tow/run switch in RUN with the Key ON. If you turn the key OFF, the power should vanish.
If the wiring is good, the OBC bypass didn't work, the fuse is good, and if you're getting the correct numbers for the controller test, replace the controller. |

Re: 2011 Clubcar Precedent not responding
Hi Dave... I checked the 15A fuse and sure enough it's blown. I used a paper clip to jump the white & blue wire and it works. I'll replace the OBC. Thanx!!!

Couldn't he just leave the OBC bypassed and get a different charger. Not sure which would be more money.
