Need some help in identifying this cart....
The serial number is conveniently rubbed off where the year is and I’m trying to get some more info on the braking system...it has the four 12 volt setup and the axle is in the middle of the rear wheels where it’s hard to change the pads.

All Precedent brakes are the same. What do you want to know?

Re: Need some help in identifying this cart....
I figured but wasn't sure how to get the axle off because I'm pretty sure both brake assemblies will need to be replaced due to the lip of both being corroded off and some of the internals being seized up.

Re: Need some help in identifying this cart....
103528801 - Prec Brake Cable Kit, Includes both sides
103380201 - Brake Cluster - Driver's side 103380202 - Brake Cluster - Passenger side 101791101 - Drums The clusters will come with shoes, adjusters, and springs already assembled. You'll have to use a large pair of 90 degree C-Clip pliers to remove the clip that holds the axle into the housing. It's right against the outer axle bearing, behind the axle flange. You can see it through the little hole in the axle flange. Once you get the axle out, remove the clip, pull out the axle and take the four bolts off of the brake cluster to remove the assembly. |

Re: Need some help in identifying this cart....
Just out of curiosity, isn't the serial stamped on the frame somewhere as well?

Re: Need some help in identifying this cart....
Usually not stamped on the frame, but I know on DS's there is a second serial number decal behind the dash. I'm not sure if the same holds true for the Precedent, however.

Re: Need some help in identifying this cart....
Secondary serial number location is on the aluminum crossmember that ties the two frame beams together. You can see it by removing the floor access door and looking below the brake equalizer.
