Default 96 DS Series Cart Quality rating

I am thinking about trading for a 96 CC 48 V Series Cart. Can anyone give me some insight to the quality of this model and some pointers or things I should check?

I know the later years regen models were lemons and I will never again touch one of those again, :-(

I have not yet inspected the cart in person, but from pics it has 8 volt batteries and F/R switch between legs. Has a 96 serial number, so I assume it is series and not regen.

You said F/R switch. Did you mean a large lever (not switch)? If it's a rocker switch, that's a Regen- 1. The least desirable of all early Regen models.

The 96 CC was a one year throttle, 5k-0 potentiometer mounted under the dash.
Not saying that's good or bad, just a heads up.

Was that for ALL flavors of 96 CC?

BTW, thanks for the reminder, it is quite a ride to drive one of these 5-0 wired for standard 0-5, LOL. I upgraded the controller in one (got the parts from you) and drove it before I reversed the wires. Imagine a cart that goes wide open when you barely touch the throttle and slows down as you press further. I was lucky I had space in front of me when i tested.
