Precedent moves then quits
I have a 2007 precedent, 4 new Trojan 12v batteries, new mcor. I turn the key, put it in reverse, and back it up about 20ft, switch to forward and moves 2ft then quits. If I then switch back to reverse- nothing. The batteries are full charged and tests show around 50v. Not sure where to go from here

Does the backup horn work when it's in reverse?

Re: Precedent moves then quits
Sounds like a bad solenoid. Do you hear the solenoid "click" when you press the pedal? This is common.

Back up alarm does sound off. I do hear clicking but it sounds like it comes from the mcor but maybe it's the solenoid.

Re: Precedent moves then quits
The MCOR is a very faint "click" while the solenoid is a more audible "clunk". Should be easy to tell the difference. If you determine that the solenoid is not "clunking", replace it.

Re: Precedent moves then quits
I haven't checked the brushes. There's no bucking or jerking. It'll start to go then just quit. I've also replaced the speed sensor

Re: Precedent moves then quits
Check all your mcor connections. Check all your battery cables pull on them try to pull the cable out of the lug. You should never be able to pull the cable from the lug ,of course it you can that's a problem.
