Sneaky cooler for Precedent
Hi all, Well I've just completed an install of a cool cooler that is 'hidden' in the front 'bumper'. It holds 6 cans and enough ice to keep 'em nice and cold.:
Looking at the cart you cannot tell it's there. With a gentle pull and wiggle OR you could probably be as rough as you like! Out she slides Holds 6 cans plus ice BUT has limitations WILL NOT FIT MY BIG BEER BOTTLES! It's getting harder to get grog onto snobby golf courses....so this will come in very handy.....they can search my bag and lunch box all they like! I'll have a drink and enjoy it TWICE as much! Cooler fitted....situation NORMAL.jpg Cooler open.jpg 6 cans or stubbies plus ice.jpg Big bottles NO GO.jpg |

That's cool. Is store bought or did you make it?

Made in Australia!....at my place!
I got the idea when I pulled that 6mph crash bar off the front whilst rejuvinating my front end bushings. My 1st thoughts were to put it on drawer slides....but that did not work....so I made some rails and used electrical conduit for the slides. Took about 3 hours all up....quite satisfying. |

There's also a 6 pk holder under the dash on the right side of the column. You have to remove the plastic shield, but I'm sure you could make it flip up or something.
Nice job on the bumper cooler... |

Get to the course and your front bumper is "sweating" because of the ice.. "You have a coolant leak sir".

Re: Sneaky cooler for Precedent
Thanks guys....tested it on the weekend....works a treat....biggest problem is it had already been tested as a crash bumper and had a split in it....so I applied some sealer to it with not so great results!
Anyone with any ideas on what type of sealer to use on that hard plastic would be appreciated. Glass and Gutter silicone did not 'stick'! Stunk good but did not seal! Guess I should take the 'positives' out of the experience....I didn't have to empty the water out of it when I got home! |

SUP driver... What about epoxy? Seems like the gutter stuff would have worked.
