Alltrax XCT Update 2/15/2018
The issue is the chance of this occurring:
While regening down a hill if the user shuts off the key, or the key loses power for some reason the controller will go into freewheel mode, it will also turn the motor into a small generator and build the pack voltage up over the Over Voltage limitations of the controller. So once you finally come to a halt the car twill no longer start until the total voltage has sagged back down. (This issue can also happen on club cars, which we just found out a day or two ago, so all of the CC IQ schematics will be getting re-updated to show that regen diode again.) |

Maybe they should check with BGW next time I think I will wait until I have a reason to work under the cart again, perhaps a new motor before I add that Regen diode |

If had installed your controller like I did you would not need to get under the cart to install it.

This is an interesting turn of events. I wonder if the Yamaha is also in need of the diode?

Re: Alltrax XCT Update 2/15/2018
I think the Ezgos are particularly susceptible to this problem since changing direction with the FNR will drop the Solenoid.
That is a lot more likely to happen while still moving (right before stop) than turning the key OFF on Ezgo or any Club Car while still moving. |

Re: Alltrax XCT Update 2/15/2018
It appears that this diagram, revision F dated 042017, shows:
1. The added Regen diode#5 2. The revision to reflect the correct F1 & F2 wire colors...no longer bassackwards. http://www.alltraxinc.com/files/DOC1...-DIA-Model.pdf Thanks for making us aware. |

Re: Alltrax XCT Update 2/15/2018
Call Alltrax and inquire if your install requires a regen diode. If they say yes, request they send you one. Call 541-476-3565
I started sending them out with every IQ controller yesterday |
