Cc drop out harness not working
I have a CC 2004 IQ 48 volt dc cart. I have been having an intermittent problem with the cart dropping out. On recommendation, I ordered a new drop out harness which I installed. The cart was working before the installation but after install the cart goes dead in water.....no forward ....no reverse.....dead. I can remove harness and wah lah...it goes back to running intermittently. My question is what exactly is in this harness? Thinking maybe a diode or two and how are they set up, in series one on each wire or just one on one of the wires. I should be able to ohm this harness out and get some information but need to know what I am looking for. Any help would be great.....

Re: Cc drop out harness not working
Sergio....
I sold this man this harness. I've since sent a couple emails to Club Car and haven't gotten a response yet. I'm not sure if there's a bad batch of these things or what the deal is. I've since sold one more since this one and shipped it out before I realized there was a potential issue. There's one left on my shelf and I checked it with my meter. I can't get any reading at all on either wire, in either direction. Do you know what the diode(s) is(are) supposed to read? If any of my previous customers who have bought one of these that worked, will remove it and check it for resistance and post your results I'll give you a discount on your next order. Thanks. |

Re: Cc drop out harness not working
It is best to use the "diode test" function on your meter to make sure the meter output can forward bias those diodes.
You should get between 0.5v-0.8v in one direction and 0v in the other. Only one of the wires should have a diode. |

Re: Cc drop out harness not working
Gnaitbait, will you check your harness and see if you can confirm Sergio's readings?
