Default Prescedent switch issue

Hey there,

I have a 2013 cart. Sometimes when I switch it to go forward nothing happens, no "click" nothing. I have to turn the cart off and on and switch the rocker switch a couple times then it works again. It's somewhat inconsistent but has been happening more frequently lately. Is the F/R rocker switch the likely culprit or should I be looking for something else? I do have a 400 amp solenoid from scotty's that I installed prior to this issue if that means anything.

Sounds like the switch but as with anything, check all your connections to make sure they are tight before assuming anything has failed.

Just to be clear, it only happens when switching to forward. Reverse always works.

The switch is the issue. You can actually take it apart easily with a small pick tool or small flat head screwdriver. You can slightly bend the metal rocker mechanism to make better contact. The switch is very repairable and if you take your time you can do it and not have to buy another one. Of you do buy one, use a site sponsor.
