battery post burning off
I have a 97cc that is burning or melting the bolt and post on new and old batt.ery alike doesn't care what batery it is cables felt tight the other day burn't the post off yesterday .
Do I need to clean and tightin more or am I miss something else? Was told to drill and tap battery post to get more use out of them? Anyone done this before and how far can you drill into the battery post thanks alot for any info 97cc |

If your connection from post to lug is clean and tight, the problem is likely the connection between the cable and the lug causing the heat build up and burning.

Thanks to all found how to repair lug after asking how to and 55cents later good as new
