2015 precedent flip seat
Hey guys, I just purchased a 2015 CC Precedent and I'm looking to install a rear flip seat that leaves the sweater basket in place. I've seen a installation video on youtube but I'm having trouble finding out who makes it. The cart is for the farm and I need the flip seat more for cargo more than people and I like the look of the basket and roof drain tubes instead of scrapping them. Anybody have a Mfg. name or a site sponsor that sells them, I sure would appreciate the help.

Re: 2015 precedent flip seat
I would not recommend my Steeleng HD seat. When driving around with light loads on the 'bed' it will lift off of the rear handle bar and drop down, dumping your load. The bed has no other supports or way of bearing weight other than the rear handle bar assembly. It also doesn't feel like it can support much weight at all when supported by the handle bar.
I added a rear hitch to the step and it instantly pulled the foot rest down with ~50 lbs of tongue weight, which lifted the bed 'hook' from the handle bar and dropped the tools I had in the bed. I had to put on a tow strap just to hold everything together. |

Re: 2015 precedent flip seat
I personally don't like the rear seat kits that use the stock sweater basket. I get the advantage of the storage but it's all just plastic and really wasn't engineered for the weight of passengers. The upright supports on other rear kits are plastic themselves but the way everything goes together seems like it is more robust. Just my 2 cents.

Re: 2015 precedent flip seat
Thanks for the response!! I had already thought about the extra leverage that the rear seat would have to support being set rearward, and the way that passenger weight would make the cart squat more under load. I am probably still going with this style, on this cart, because this is not the cart we carry camping and is mostly for yard work on the farm. Sprayers and light duty work like carrying trash to the dumster. The flip seat would be mostly for resale when I get done with the cart and the seat will stay flipped down almost all the time. If this was my only/best cart I don't think I would want one and I haven't heard a lot of good reviews on the Steeleng so far. Amazon has one by Tyse that has a few decent reviews. I might check into that one a bit more. Thanks again, you all have been a tremendous help as usual
